7thSense Design worked with Bluewater Technologies on to help visualise an exciting new urban development project from Olympia Entertainment in Detroit, Michigan. The ‘District Detroit’ 45-block estate features a new 20,000 seat, $450 million U.S. hockey arena slated to open in 2017 and is being promoted to investors, businesses and locals with a state-of-the-art marketing suite.
Two 3D-printed scaled models, covered in multiple channels of mapped projection to animate the spaces, fill a large area inside the visualisation suite.
The first model features a seven projector channel top-down profile onto the entire modelled District area of Detroit. The second is a six projector channel deeper profile which uses 3D video mapping to highlight and animate the new Arena itself. A 7thSense Delta® Infinity Media Server was used for each model.
The shows rely on multiple layers of high resolution media with alpha transparency, multiple UV and eyepoint-based mapping methods, and interweaving timelines events ultimately triggered by AMX® show control.
