Two years in the making, the €110 million National Military Museum project was AV systems and lighting designer Rapenburg Plaza’s largest to date. Inside, two of the most stunning and immersive examples of projection rely on giant spherical structures as a canvas.
The first is a 360-degree floor to ceiling dome projection system – the only one of its kind in Europe – depicting the history of Dutch battles through a striking combination of high-resolution animation and film created by Shosho.
Measuring 14 metres across, the steel dome incorporates Delta Media Server and Digital and Digital Projection Highlite 660 WUXGA projectors in addition to an immersive audio system within the perforated aluminium surface. With the complex 9-channel projection layout designed by 7thSense, our 12-channel Delta Infinity was a natural to playback the 4000 x 4000 uncompressed fisheye media.
