A new 780-feet tall building has been built in Lower Manhattan, New York City. 50 Street West, a striking 68-storey apartment block designed by internationally acclaimed architect Helmut Jahn is home to 191 luxury residential condominiums.
With unparalleled views across New York Harbour, Hudson and East Rivers, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, a visualisation suite was created to allow potential buyers to experience the beauty of the views and the scale of each space in advance. 7thSense Design has supplied its media serving technology to this interactive, curved-screen.
Delta Media Server was chosen by Technology West Group (www.techwg.com) to power the display and deliver maximum image quality and a true-to-life digital experience for viewers. An Infinity quad-head server was supplied with a dual link DVI live capture input.
Architectural services were provided by Helmut Jahn, interior design and finishing services by Thomas Juul-Hansen, branding and creative by DBOX, with Frances Greenburger as developer.
Based at the 50 West Street main sales office, the new high specification visualisation centre allows potential real estate buyers to envisage and experience future residences and their views over the city.
Specialist audiovisual integrator, Technology West Group, designed and supplied an edge-blended curved projection wall to showcase 180-degree ultra-high resolution images which present different elevation views from the new apartments. Controlled by a UHD touchscreen computer, the interactive display allows viewers to switch views on demand and peer through dioramas of particular units for a realistic experience.
