sol7 - Realtime distortion & blending
Sol7, from ImmersaView is a software tool for geometric correction (warping) and edge blending of full screen real-time applications.
The software is simply manipulated through interactive control points, aligning the projected display to the screen surface.
Whilst designed for curved screen applications, Sol7 also aids the alignment process of non-planar and off-axis planar displays.
Why use Sol7
The main advantage of using Sol7 is that it eliminates additional expensive hardware and the need for any changes in the real-time application to correct the generated image for the screen surface. Hence, with minimal alignment time, the application is corrected and on the screen!
Sol7 applies distortion correction and edge blending as a real-time process, transparently adding this vital functionality to other 3D applications.
Sol7 is resolution independent, utilising the full capabilities of the graphics card, and is easy to configure interactively onscreen.

How it works
Sol7 works with full screen real-time applications and maps the video output from the application using the customer's alignment.
The mapping function is defined by a simple interface, where the user can manipulate control points in order to generate the desired screen shape. Once defined, Sol7 sits in the background and the user interacts with the real-time application in the usual manner.
