The operator uses the Delta much like any non linear editing suite. The Delta GUI pictured below is multi server aware and allows the operator to construct shows "Near to Showtime", using the full drag & drop Graphical User Interface to add movies, images, audio, special effects and live video capture to the timeline.
The operator then simply presses play to immediately review the show on the server's output, or locally on the GUI via it's realtime preview. Interactivity is available even during playback, allowing the (typically Live Events) operator to control overall audio & video levels, freeze specified video capture sources and run scripted Sequences which can control many aspects of playback.
Other options available include Live Video Capture (RGB, DVI, SDI, HD-SDI, SVideo), Active or Passive Stereo, High Bit Depth, Movie Encryption, 3D screen mesh import and multi channel digital or balanced audio.
Everything in Delta is composited in realtime, every frame. For this reason, the show creator can drop a resource onto the timeline & edit it, seeing the results onscreen immediately.
Full control over visual resources includes positioning, size, rotation, colour, chromakey, animation, timing, transparency, lumakey, feathering, cropping, feathering, mirroring and more.

Geometry can be used as a display alignment feature, but also, by dropping onto any layer with visual media, the image, movie, live video take on that shape.
Special Effects
Delta supports a multitude of special effects that can be used on any piece of media that has been added to the timeline.
- Delta also has transparent fades, cross fades, fade to black, on each layer independently.
- Add Motion Blur to the timeline to blur the edges of moving content by a specific amount.
- Draw a bezier spline on the GUI & have visual resources follow that path onscreen with live update onscreen.
- Easy fly-in & fly out effects are available on any visual media, simply choose the length of time & the effect, such as "Enter / Exit Stage", "Blinds" or "Zoom In / Out".
- Feather the edges of visual content, or choose a chroma key colour for partial transparency.
- Crop the edges of any visual media to eliminate unwanted imagery.
- Full 8-bit alpha plane supported in TGA movies, TGA, TIF & PNG images, also use any visual resource as a luma-key source.
